Hallway and the Main stairs, at whf area
-
It's nice and tidy compared to the rest of the property.
-
It is!! It looks all clean and hoovered. How strange.
-
Somehow I dont think that these are crime scene pics. There appears to be pics taken after AE had worked her "magic" on the house?Like the one of the kitchen, where it is all tidy and Nevills favourite chair and cushion have been re-installed next to the aga.(fortunately minus his body, the poor soul).
-
is it the same cushion that was used to soak his blood up too? the blue floral one?

Could very well be,seeing as Mike says the items were not taken for forensic purposes.
-
Hartley,do the Eatons still have the big brass bed that was June and Nevills? Probably an antique bed?

No they have a 4 poster.
It looks tidy because these are much more recent photo's, s long time after the murders.
-
hallway/stairs wallpaper appears to be the same as per the crime scene pics.
some of the cushions in the kitchen must have been replaced as some are different from those pictured with Ralph's body on.
-
The wallpaper is the same today, it hasn't been changed.

Yes, I'd already noticed that. It must have been difficult to match up the blood stained patches that the police removed.
-
Yet they seem to have managed it, clearly this just proves the relatives deceitfulness and icey cold hearts they have.
-
I still wouldn't want to live in it myself. Now that's macabre.
-
Who keeps the same wallpaper for 25 years? Strange folk!

It might have something to do with being tenants and not owners, but if you're in for the long haul.....

"Simple country folk" is the usual phrase (I say that from having grown up in Somerset).
Not sure if it's still the case, but in the old days working farm houses were nothing more than practical. Once on the wall it would have taken a visit from the queen to warrant a refresh of the wallpaper :D

Perhaps the term is 'vintage'!

I doubt if they'd even have changed if for royalty.

You need to scroll down to the bottom, by the way.

The Queen's husband obviously doesn't count :D

No, but the links to the Royal Household are fascinating!
-
Has any of the rooms being redecorated in the house or have they all been retained as close to how the house looked prior to the murder?

I would imagine some parts of the house would have been redecorated, but I think Hartley said the hallway has the same decor it had at the time.
