I've started watching Campion properly. Was shocked to find out it was first filmed in 1988. I think there is an Essex connection? Is it the author or am I getting mixed up with the two members we had Sr and Jr who posted under the username Campion?

The connection is he is the detective of Margery Allingham, who used to live on South Street, Tolleshunt D'Arcy. No doubt June had one of her books on the shelf.

No, I never did. I do remember Peter Davison in All Creatures Great and Small.

Sr lived very close to Tolleshunt D'Arcy where Marjorie Allingham, author of Campion, lived. Fantastic series, but I don't think Sr looked anything like Peter Davison!
