"..and more on that in a bit." Where is the "more" ? I'm not surprised he almost got away with murder, so convincing he sounds. But as one journalist who interviewed him at Full Sutton remarked, there's a feeling that there's something hidden..

David James Smith who conducted the interview you mention also said he seemed nervous.

He seemed quite steady, reflective. He was convincing enough in the first instance for Colin to write to him in prison for answers. It's the 1980s environment again, where money talks, and in this case a Jeremy who had money or the prospect of it hoodwinking an ingenuous Colin, who had very little. https://jeremybamberforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,7101.msg475800.html#msg475800

He is a domineering person, he likes to dictate the agenda. A powerful personality

Does he ever deny using the sound moderator post-conviction, rather than scapegoating others?

Post conviction?

Post conviction?
Well evidently he denied all knowledge pre-conviction. All I've heard him say since is he suspects the relatives planted it (though has not named names) and again today when in the audiotape he doubts Sheila returned it to the gun cupboard.

There was a letter I saw a long time ago now, where he makes reference to David. I'm trying to think whether he was trying to be empathetic towards David, for his role in it. It rings a bell anyway. Or he was leaving the door open for David in someway.

I think I have in my possession the letter you are referring to. I will try and get it later on.

Any interview of a long term in incarcerated individual such as Jeremy Bamber will be artificial in whatever way you look at it.
He will still be 24 years of age and not progressed in the way an individual going through the normal realms of freedom life has.
He is also even if an innocent man has to put on a front. David James Smith says he found him " all to human and understanding "
One thing that struck my about my time with Jeremy was how level headed and almost accepting of the situation he was. Although I do believe that some years prior he had gone on a shit protest. But I never saw any signs of despair or hopelessness. Perhaps the years at boarding school helped him adapt. He certainly wasn't the type to show emotion

No, and there's no safety valve in such people. It's why he killed five and men are more prone to suicide. Did Jeremy ever ask Nevill and June to sit down with him around the kitchen table and have a heart- to- heart? I doubt it.

I believe the relationship with sue ford was Jeremy trying to seek a mother figure for one. And close female companionship. Although of course at the same time it was a normal sexual relationship.
-
Of course we are all just all armchair psychologists. And as Jeremy is fighting a MOJ he will paint his early years and adolescence as bliss when we all know guilters and supporters, that it was anything but.
There was clear problems in the family dynamic

The same thing happened with King Charles, as he sought solace with Camilla from what he perceived as a distant mother, and a too-needy Diana. She was "a poppet", but he never loved her. The Queen Mother attempted to recompense, but the marriage was doomed to failure.

The problem with glossing over the family dynamic is that many people will think if he can lie about that he can lie about other things too.

He is a life sentenced prisoner fighting an MOJ.
Look at it from an innocent prospective. He was on the surface an unwanted child adopted by two loving parents, given a private education, a job on the farm, set for life.
If he starts the " they were bastards to me " scenario, or the " I had so many problems growing up " he is going to garner the " spoilt ungrateful evil guy persona even further. Which many people attest him to be anyway.
He is a X5 convicted murderer.
-
If innocent and painting am idyllic life which wasn't true. I can see his point. And I don't fault him

The relatives over the years ( David Boutflour in particular ) have painted a negative picture of Jeremy in various interviews and television documentaries.
Saying stuff such as Jeremy was leeching off his parents, and was basically a nasty selfish individual. Although they spent little time in his company throughout his childhood and adolescence. (Their own words)
Jeremy's only means of communication have been through letter writing, phonecalls and a rarely granted interview with the Sunday times journalist David James Smith in 2010.
The convicted man in any type of case is at a disadvantage within the custodial setting. The regime, the parole board, the psychologists, all accept the court verdict as being true and proper. With your life so curtailed and narrowed, if Bamber has made embellishments I can't fault him to a degree. If they are personal background related of course
