Does anyone know?

I don't think it's in any of the books on the case. Maybe someone could write to him.

You think he would remember when he can't remember? It was a last number dialled type, he mentions that somewhere.
-
Probably a Statesman like the one at WHF.
-
Or maybe a Viscount

I think it's been mentioned on this site already, but perhaps it was just his answering machine that was identified.
-
It is a pity Jeremy's answering machine was switched off.
Since I have been using phones, answering machines have been on 24/7.
People must have switched there's off & on in 1985 for some unexplained reason.
-
I'll be benevolent and presume that the point to this thread has not yet been revealed..
-
Nevill must have regulary phoned Jeremy at his cottage. He knew that Jeremy would always switch his answering machine off when at home.
Nevill would not have telephoned at 3am just to leave a message on an answering machine.

panic, fear, surprise can and would change logical. Rational behaviour????

I'm not quite sure of the point of this thread. ???

As I inferred in #9 I was waiting for the flourish of trumpets or the Perry Mason moment, but the thread seems providentially to have died a natural death.

Only David knows why he asked the question.
