The Polish are probably the hardest working people in the world !

When my daughter needed building work to be done on her house British builders were full of excuses or didn't make phone contact one way or the other. In other words they ignored her request, so a Polish company came to her aid.

A perfect, no nonsense job was carried out so as a consequence she naturally asked them back to undertake a further job this year and again, another brilliant job executed.

It's no coincidence that my grandson's partner is Polish too.

I am getting confused about cultural appropriation.

Cultural appropriation is the unacknowledged or inappropriate adoption of an element or elements of one culture or identity by members of another culture or identity. This can be controversial when members of a dominant culture appropriate from minority cultures.

I would say approx 80% of my diet is non-British whether eating in or out.   Is this considered cultural appropriation?

I can't access the videos on my Thinkpad. I would only say looking back to 1944 I don't think that the men who participated in the Normandy landings ever envisaged such a demographic make-up for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

What a tragedy and sign of the times, when open borders means law enforcement cannot be sure exactly who is or is not in the country. In fact the citizen is on his or her own, at the whim of the worst terrorist incident as the Borough, Parson's Green and Liverpool attacks have shown. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/ali-harbi-ali-pleads-not-guilty-to-murder-of-mp-david-amess/ar-AAS1cQJ?ocid=msedgntp

It's often difficult to define what it means to be British, but don't we have a sense that to burn books and issue fatwas is wrong? https://youtu.be/MktNF5byQGk

I have never intended this to become an anti-Muslim thread and I post the following in the wish that Muslims in China be free to practise their religion in their own country without fear of persecution. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/un-report-china-may-have-committed-crimes-against-humanity-in-xinjiang/ar-AA11kAcN?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=631002763be749859c8412d6b75b0769
