It depends upon whether or not, a particular person, is 'evil' or 'fundamentally good', as to the path that person decides for themselves to take!
In general, all those who work in the criminal justice system are all evil..
They do not behave or act as GOD intended them to do so, yet at the same time these people gain strength from imposing punishments upon the real god fearing members of the public, as though those who impose these punishments act in the image of God, but this is an almighty deception - since, GOD is a merciful phenomenon, favouring the weak, and the vulnerable amongst us...
Only GOD may judge us, not another human being...
