We then arrived at the wall about 30 yards to the rear of the farmhouse.
It was dark at this stage and looking at the rear of the house I could see the following:
1) Ground floor to the right of our position kitchen light on curtains drawn with no sign of life.
2) First floor in the centre Orange curtains light shining behind curtains closed.
3) First floor to the right of centre Green curtains light shining behind curtains closed.
We then moved to an adjoining field to our right and moved to view the side of the house. The first floor centre light on in a window curtains open no sign of life.
From our position it appeared that all doors and windows were shut and secure.
It's easy to see from the various descriptions that there was a lot of confusion. Myall mentions the kitchen curtains being 'drawn', but there were no kitchen curtains at the kitchen window at all.
