Putting the Perry Mason moment aside, I'm not too sure how the Defence proceeded in the 2010 trial. In the film the Defence coached Hennis to say he had only been inside the house on the occasion of buying the dog, but the new DNA evidence places him inside the house on the night of the murder having sex with the deceased. Of course this does not follow conclusively that he's the killer, but if he had lied on oath previously it probably would be enough for a court martial to convict.   http://edition.cnn.com/2014/07/18/us/death-row-stories-hennis/

If Hennis is guilty it's rather strange as this is the only known crime he has ever committed  :-\

On one of the videos it mentioned that the laboratory which processed the sample had been admonished for mixing things up in the past and an innocent man almost went to jail. I'd like to know more about how they proceeded in the Hennis case, as it's literally a matter of life and death.

dident they test it in 2 labs though ?

if its just i could say maybe theyve got it wrong but would stretch credibility a bit.

of course he could possbly of been having an afair and then lied about it i could see why he might do that.

Yes but that would place him inside the house at the time of the murders, which would make things look black for him.

well adultery was a crime in the army at the time so could say if that did happen he might not want to admit it.
