With Sheila's 'palms being free from blood staining', the blood on the bible either can't belong to her, or it was stained with her blood after she died.

The position of the bible is suspect. Positioned by somebody else, the killer or the police?

I don't believe the position of the bible is suspect. Sheila could have read it & then put it on the floor next to her. However with her hands & fingers free of blood, there is no reason why a large amount of blood should be on the bible.

Are there any photos of Sheila without the Bible? That could establish where the blood underneath the Bible came from. If it's a stain which is not connected to the blood flow from Sheila, that would indicate that either she did not put the Bible in that position, or that the Bible had indeed been moved before the photo was taken.

Why do you say she read it? I don't think the page the Bible was open at is particularly significant. Either Jeremy or Sheila could have opened the Bible at a random page. If Jeremy did it, how did he know so much about the Bible anyway?

I've been saying that if Sheila did it, her blood should not be on the Bible. The blood of someone else could be on it on though. I can't find any reference to anyone checking to see whose blood that belonged to, so I have to assume that it wasn't checked - very sloppy work.

Clearly, the lights must have been on when the murders were being committed, and some lights were still on when the police arrived. I'm trying to establish exactly which lights were on.

Bamber can find out about the bible by reading it.

Who elses blood could be on the bible ? The twins were shot in bed, Nevill fled downstairs & died & June was shot 5 times in bed.

Stan Jones said all lights were off when he arrived at WHF.

He didn't seem like the sort of chap to read the Bible. It wasn't a common passage was it?

It could be June's blood on the Bible, or Nevill's. If it's not Sheila's, I'd be more inclined to say it was June's blood. She did get out of bed after she was shot. If it was Sheila's blood, how did it get on Jeremy's hands?

There is blood staining to the carpet in that area, so it may well have transferred from there.

The blood on the pages appears to be a mirror image, as if it's been closed and opened, or maybe just seeped through a few pages to give that impression.

I've always understood it to have been June's blood on the Bible.
I could also imagine that when Sheila was kicking off that June would have held that Bible to Sheila possibly pleading for her to read certain psalms/or paragraphs pertaining to " Thou shalt not---------etc, as June's views on morals had been drummed into Sheila from the word go.

I suggested that Sheila MAY have read the bible out of fear -it wasn't a one bible house, I think there were several, possibly from when Sheila and Jeremy were young?- perhaps returning to a time when June told her she'd find the answer to everything in it?

Yes, there is blood on the carpet in that area, so are you suggesting that the Bible was put face down in the blood, picked up again and closed (either on purpose or it just fell shut), and then was opened again and replaced? If that's the case, it can't be Sheila's blood.

I don't think it seeped through the pages - in that case, there would be blood on the opposite of the page and not that mirror image.

He would read the bible as part of the massacre preparation. To see if there was a relevant page he could leave it open at.

When would Nevill read the bible & put blood on it ? He was shot 4 times & had to run straight downstairs in his pyjamas & bare footed.

June went around to the other side of the bed to get the bible after she had been shot 5 times ? Thought she would have more important things to do.

Why was June's bible on Nevill's side of the bed & why did June drop the bible yards from where she was found ?

That's an interesting theory. You'd expect there to be blood on the outside of the Bible though, not just on those pages as June would have had to pick the Bible up to open it.

Hmm, I can't see Jeremy reading the Bible to find such a page. If you open the Bible at any page, you could probably find something which could be deemed significant.

I'm not saying Nevill read the Bible at all, I'm saying that if it was his blood, it was transferred to the Bible by the hands of the killer. However, there's no indication that the killer touched Nevill with their hands. I also never said that June picked up the Bible after she was shot. I've made it clear that the blood would have been transferred by the hands of the killer, and it's more likely that the killer touched June.

Is the supporters view that the bible was nothing to do with Sheila.

June was shot 5 times. Walked around the bed to the bible. Picked it up, opened it, left blood on it, dropped it & walked away.

By coincidence Sheila then killed herself right next to the bible.

There may have been traces of blood on the outside, but where everyone says that it's Sheila's palm print inside the pages,I say it's June's because it's a small palm. They might be Sheila's fingers on her nightdress, but they don't belong to the palm. This is my view.

Yes, Sheila could have done - if she was the killer, she could have done anything after she killed everyone. I don't get why there was no blood on the outside of the Bible though.

Clearly the bible was moved or closed at some point after being stained by blood.

Or couldn't the mirror image be caused by blood soaking through a couple of pages, then turn the page to see the mirrored effect.
