It was suggested yesterday by Nugs that 'theres people up and walking about at that time'. Referring to the 1am - 3am period Bamber was on the farmland he travelled across.
These were apparently poachers, neighbours, cars that were illegally driving across the farm land or people up in their homes looking out of their windows.
Surely this is not the case.
I don't know what poachers would be looking for in that area of farm land. But hope to get enlightened.
The route across the farm land did not go near any roads. Which is why Bamber chose this route. The nearest roads in that area would be very quiet at that time with no traffic. There is no reason why drivers would choose to attempt to take a short cut & illegally drive across farm land in pitch black. The farm land may have made this impossible anyway.
RB said the route passed no dwellings. There may be a possibility of someone being up, looking through a window with infra red, powerful binnoculars & spotting a figure. But the odds are again over a million to one.
Bamber could exit & enter his cottage onto the pathway from the back. Therefore no one on his road would see him.
Does everyone agree with the prosecution case that no one would have seen Bamber travel to & from WHF between 1am - 3am ?
