I'm afraid this doesn't make Bamber innocent & doesn't undermine AE. It undermines Bamber more as he was obviously looking to illegally take the wallet to finance his jolly ups. AE gave the wallet to BC.
Adam at that time Jeremy was a free man and everything including wallet and money would have been his so how would it have been illegal for him to have it I agree it would have been theft for AE to have taken it. How much money was in the wallet when she found it?

Maybe Bamber also told her he was doing it to show there was poor security.
