The content of the 3.26am log had to have been tpld to Malcom Bonnett by Neville Bamber. A lpg which was confirmable by the audio recording of the same 3.26am call from Mr Bamber, senior! Mention of Jeremy's later (3.36am) call to PC West being later acknowleged in the Bonnett log, by reference to the fact that the son of Mr Bamber had contacted CD (PC West) after the phone line went dead!!!

This is why the current campaogn team are sayong that PC West took Jeremy's call (3.36am), and that Malcom Bonnett took Neville Bambers earlier call (at 3.26am) - Bonnett never spoke directly to Jeremy so there wouldn't have been any need to record PC West giving details passed on by Jeremy on audio tape! Since tjat would mean every time Malcom Bonnett received any call from anybody, would automatically be recorded on audio!

Now, that's not true!

In the coming days, I have made arrangement for the 50,000 case documents to be brought
to the place where I am currently having to live! I will therefore in all probability be posting up, previously unseen documentation!

I must confess, that to date I have only read about 50% of the case file, so I am expecting to stumble upon some 'real gems' from the investigation.

Around 5% of the material in my possesaion include the origonal letters sent too and fro with Jeremy's solicitors pre trial, and other matters of interest!

. . . and the fan lite main bedroom window was then open
The upper part of the main bedroom window isn't a "fan lite" or "fanlight". As far as I know, the correct term is simply "upper sash".

There are a number of terms which are interchangeable depending on what part of the world you live in. Presumably Mike is referring to the part of the window labelled as No. 1.

If it's a sash window then yes it would be upper sash.

To enable them to open "fully", the two parts of a sash window are always the same size. An openable fanlight window is a (usually) top-hung small window above or at the top of another (larger) window or door. The term "fanlight" was originally used for a window (usually non-openable) that had the shape of a fan, but is now often used also for a small rectangular window positioned as just described for an openable fanlight window.

Looking at photographs of the house, it is a sash window as you describe.

That is not always the case Reader.

According to Myall all the windows were closed, but an hour later the main bedroom window was open at the top!

Who opened it between 4 and 5 am?

Guess it was just a 'trick of windows'...

All the lights in the farmhouse were switched on in all the rooms when Bews, Myall and Jeremy did a recce' of the farmhouse at around 4am, yet an hour later some lights had been turned off!!!

I wonder who turned some of the house lights off?

I do not believe that the police would have waited over three and a half hours before trying to enter the farmhouse if everybody inside was already dead before the arrival of Bews, Myall and Saxby at the scene at 3.48am! Dead victims can't threaten anybody, least of all fire a gun at the police! So, police aren't telling us the truth! Something far more sinister was keeping police from approaching the farmhouse and that someone was Sheila armed with a loaded rifle, and shotguns with ammunition a plenty!

That length of time has always baffled me and we have no answers as to why there was such a long wait.

Thanks for the information, Hartley. I used quotation marks when referring to sash windows that open fully. As you can see, the lower part of each window in your photograph can be lifted only to a limited extent, as distinct from fully.

Because it is police protocol.
