Why didn't this surveillance ever hit the headlines? News about drugs wasn't as prolific then as it is now so you'd have thought it would have been splashed all over the place.
so what youre saying is because it never made the headlines its not true, just people making rumours about poor jb :)

so what if she was,the last dozen or so posts were to prove you wrong as you said before that jb is not an accomplished criminal, which many of us think he was :)

I think he was an escalating criminal. And all of his crimes led to some form of financial gain.

Going from smoking cannabis and petty theft to mass murder is not exactly "escalating"  IMO its like start from the bottom and skip straight to the extreme  ;D

I didn't mean the jump from smoking cannabis to murder.  I was leaving the murder out of it. The jump is the drugs and the caravan park break in - he had a habit of gaining money through any means. Even if that was doing something negative against the family business.

Do we know for sure that he was under surveillance by the drug squad Justice?
Hi Caroline, I don't think we know for sure and nothing of proof been shown, I had read about it a while ago and when I worked down there for 10 years  on holiday park it was always talked about him being into drugs, but Mike said Jeremy had proof he was under surveylance, I think a neighbour had reported him and they used the neighbours house for surveylance.

I'm very surprised nothing big was made out of it and if the police knew about it,why wasn't JB charged for that too ? He was charged for everything else,a few weeds wouldn't have made much difference to what he was charged for,as in Found guilty and not Proved guilty beyond reasonable doubt.

Reading between the lines Lookout, I think the murders happened about a month after so you can imagine, the drugs thing got pushed to one side?   After that they would not bring this in to the investigation because if it was proved Jeremy had not been dealing drugs or they had not collected enough evidence it would not look good for the prosecution I would think?  Could be wrong though.

The sort of person you would not want your daughter to hook up with?

I find it difficult to believe either Jeremy or the Farm was under surveillance given the public spending cuts of the 1980s. What was the main reason why Police were there?

Or your son to be mates with. On reflection, he didn't have many, did he, given he'd spent time in college and worked in the hospitality business. Most of them seem to have been Julie's friends.

I see-------------pushed to one side because of the murders ? A bit like the N&J Bamber fraud carried out by PE was also at an awkward time during the trial so that which was reported to the police by BW was also pushed to one side too. Mmmm.
