" Drug dealings " were never on the agenda of police complaints. Did it ever come up in court ? Was there ever a charge for " drug-dealing ? The New Zealand debacle was as usual exaggerated by one female of the Carr family who happened to have been staying at the same place as JB at the time when this fantasy blew up. JB's reason for leaving in a hurry was that his visa was running out.

It takes days for a working visa to go through, but yes,if he'd have given himself enough time.

One of the stories circulating was that he stole two Cartier watches from a jeweller's, one of which he gave to Suzette Ford. He was also thought to have chatted up women wearing expensive jewellery, replacing their diamonds with zirconia. Whether there is any substance to any of these allegations is another matter.

Had these " stories " been true,he'd have been arrested at the airport. The watches would have been fakes. I bought a fake Rolex for 149 AUD in the 80's and they look very authentic. They're churned out by the thousands in China so I imagine that what were bought were fakes as to the untrained eye they look the part, even down to the trademark logo of the crown on the face of the watch.
As for swapping diamonds for zircons, the story gets even more unbelievable.

This far-fetched " episode " didn't get an airing at trial either.

Makes you wonder why he was under surveillance by the drugs squad Sami if he never had dealings with them?

Yes and this coming from Jeremy himself having obtained copies about the surveylance?  He was under surveylance for 28 days, the drugs squad were following him with the possibility with links to the underworld.  Nice boy?

He was growing cannabis plants in his back garden, and suspected of being a small time drugs dealer who supplied druggies in london and elsewhere with a regular supply of drugs...

Well it wasn't listed at trial among his other " dirty deeds ". Maybe because JM had been a drug-smuggler it would have been a tit for tat slanging match if Jeremy's" druggies" had come under scrutiny too.

Why didn't this surveillance ever hit the headlines? News about drugs wasn't as prolific then as it is now so you'd have thought it would have been splashed all over the place.

The watches aren't fakes.
