Lots of people have studied the case - studying the case don't automatically bring you to an innocent conclusion. People have their own minds - I'm certainly NOT following any crowd and have looked at things from both sides. It's just as easy to say that 'some people' like to dig their heels in and couldn't possibly consider that they could be wrong - I'd do the same if I were that way inclined.

I'm surprised that you all haven't banded together at the shame of the relatives moving into WHF.
I refer to the large heading in the DM about the " Amityville Horror House " where 6 people were murdered,headed " Would You Live in the Amityville Horror House ".
There were none of the expected " how could they ?" from the guilters,but plenty from those who say JB is innocent ! How strange. Now if it had been the other way around,there'd have been an outcry.
Given the previous history of the place where 3 other tenants had died too. Different if you don't know but being a Grade II people know the history.

However, there is a reason for that Lookout, people who think Jeremy is innocent (and some who want him to be), look for any excuse to pour scorn on the relatives. So what if AE moved into WHF - FIVE YEARS AFTER! of course when you mentioned this just the other day, you suggested it was straight after the killings - and it wasn't.

But it WAS his duty and he could have been more assertive in finding out about her illness partcularly as he professed to have loved her. True love isn't just about the bedroom,etc,it includes help and assistance and a deep understanding of each other.Sheila in her illness would NOT have accepted the fact that he no longer wanted her. The least he could have shown was perseverance even if it had been for the sake of the twins.
No way could I have married a man who only thought about himself !! This is what it amounted to with Colin. No wonder June didn't like him.

The way I see it, it would have been a very one sided relationship. You're perfectly correct in that love is way more than happens in the bedroom. In a perfect world, it's about unity, compromise, give and take. When neither partner is able to provide that, what happens in the bedroom becomes diminished to the point where there is nothing left. I'm not saying Colin was ideal husband material, but Sheila married him. Turn  this round another way and it COULD be reasoned that she trapped him into it.

Steve I understand what you're saying and what you mean,but the same people and millions more don't know the full story. It's easy to follow a crowd and take their word for what happened.I'd do the same if I was that way inclined,it's the easiest option if you haven't studied the case.

I wouldn't WANT anyone to be innocent if they weren't. I could never be like that.Ths is why I'm so sure of his innocence and as regards whenever the relatives moved in ( haven't yet found out for sure,when ) even Jeremy called AE a " sick puppy ". My description would have been stronger. I'm surprised Jeremy's wasn't ? He had little else to say on that subject.

I know it wasn't that long after when AE made the twins beds up because had it been 5 years later,Jeremy wasn't there to call AE a sick puppy was he ?

Turned around then, it could be said that he HAS to be innocent to validate your belief in your own rightness.

Actually, I perceive you as standing apart even from those who believe him innocent. THAT is all you appear to have in common with them.

Lookout - WHF was empty for five years - there is a reference to it in CAL's book but I have seen Vic post about it ages ago. How could Jeremy be there when she moved in? Until convicted, he still had control over the estate.
