Dogs are usually locked away at night. Which is why so many people take their dogs for an early morning walk. People need to sleep and don't want hyper active dogs running around.

It seems dogs sleep at the same time as humans. Sometimes sharing the same room.

I suspect Crispy either slept with Neville & June. Or was put in a secure confined area. Either way, it was not a guard dog and would unlikely to hear Bamber's quiet entrance or be able to wake Neville if it did.

Crispy would have slept by its master in the same bedroom, but would have followed that same person because it had the run of the house, hence it wasn't restricted in its movements. They usually sit by their masters in death.

As mentioned, after an easy and quiet cycle ride and bathroom window entrance, where no one had seen or heard him, he was now holding a fully loaded rifle with everyone asleep.

It should now be a straight forward massacre as my video showed the rifle with the silencer on is silent. Maybe even without having to reload. Ten accurate head shots into four sleeping people, and one into Sheila after getting her out of bed could do the job. The bedroom phone could be taken off the hook and Neville moved to make it look like he had made the call.

It didn't go this smoothly, which was a major blow for Bamber.

Not at all.My old GSD slept outside my bedroom door. It depends how faithful the animal is. I know that if I'd have fallen or collapsed the dog would have been by my side.

Animals will be faithful. You're the one that feeds them.

I also used to discipline him like I would a child too. Plus take him for his jabs, which he never liked, but he still stuck by me------------being the most intelligent of dogs.
