I said his head was in a coal scuttle.

What a shame you didn't word it like that when you first posted it.

Adam, I have removed your post to Jane on this thread because it was abusive and also some other posts which are disrespectful.
There is a difference between discussing the position RNB was reported to be found in and writing such an insensitive post on the way he was found.  I suggest that you should take more care when posting on such sensitive subjects as the death of 3 adults and two children.

What's insensitive about saying Neville's head was found in a coal scuttle. It was. Or rather above one.

You said he had a scuttle placed on his head, which was untrue.

NOTHING would have been insensitive about saying HOW Nevill was found. The insensitivity was in how you worded it.

I agree but that wasn't the problem, your wording was and as I said before please check before you post that your wording isn't goig to offend the family members etc.
Hope that's the end of it Adam and we can move on.

How do you know Bamber didn't put Neville's head on top of the coal scuttle ? Or are you saying Neville just fell there.

That is a very helpful piece of work Hartley.  It will assist members, of all viewpoints on the case as a whole, in assessing parts of the prosecution evidence.

Thank you for posting this.

No worries, I've been meaning to do it for quite a while. Hopefully it will be of interest to people.

I remember the theory Hartley, and I believe it was  a flawed theory cooked up by someone who has not seen the window in real life and BELEIVED they could pull one over - but those who had seen the window spoke about the impossibility of it.

Brilliant additions there, by way of the photos.

Yes, that is my belief also.

How long was Neville's hair ?

Any photos of him with long hair ?

You don't normally see too many male magistrates of his age with long hair ...

Hi Sherlock,

We kinda have a policy of not posting photographs of the victims on the main boards, however you can view them in the archives.

With regards to Neville, this is a link to a b+w photograph of his body as it was discovered:

His hair was long but I think it was long because he combed it back to hide thinning patches?
