why were so many statements changed
« on: January 25, 2016, 06:28:PM »
I just dont get why so many people changed there statements.

on the OS it gives details of pc Hall entering and calli g out to shiela but then in a later statement he says they used hand signals and only talked in whispers.

barbara wilson says she got on better with jb than her own son to i was frightened of him.etc etc.

the police certainly didnt make it easy for themselves.  But seriously Why change the statements. All it does is make me feel as though the police are not to be trusted and that does frighten me.

It is interesting about how people changed once he came into the frame .

times /words/actions.

Plus actions being interpreted differently . The police saying Jeremy was not upset and the doctor saying he was very distressed .

When he visited WHF when AE and RB were there - the different impressions of his behaviour.

You also have very varying statements about Sheilas behaviour in the days before the murders.

Then as you say the changing of statements.

A friend of mine does social experiments about what people actually see and hear when a crime occurs and they are a witness or are part of the "surrounding" involved people.

And it is very surprising how many people hear of see the same thing but report it completely. Perhaps sometimes we see or hear what we want to hear or see .

Barbra Wilson -  Jeremy is a likeable young man, I got on better with Jeremy than I did with my own son

Barbra Wilson - I thought Jeremy would come after me and kill me

I dread to think what her son was like then  ;D

Everyone, including Bamber changed their statements. Lots of times. A WS has to be right as it is what they will cross examined on at court.

Yes I am interested in where Jeremy changed his statements- he is probably just talking about the sequence of calls and if you read the full interviews that is not entirely true.

Jeremy forgot many of the finer details, thigs you would expect him to remember if true.

Read the first page in a novel without trying hard to remember all the details, wait an hour or two, then try to write down all the details that were on that page. Then try it again, using a different novel, but reading the first page at 3 o'clock in the morning.

How is that even remotely similar to remembering acted out REAL LIFE events that have impacted on your life?

i suppose you could try and recall a traumatic event and recall all the details.

something happened to me and i was asked to recall it in a statement, i couldnt immediately remember everything. It was wheni was much calmer and not stressed that things came back to me. I was really confused to start with and then i would say oh yeah that was what happened.

even many years later i have a completely different record of events in  my head to what my statements say. When i read my statements i blimey i had forgotten that happened .
