it is . Its sad for all involved whatever the truth. Sad for the family because obviously authors have used it to publish their books and I am sure they don't need reminding. And possibly sad for a man who is either obviously very sick and deluded- or has wasted 30 years trying to prove the truth.
As the 30th anniversary of these ghastly crimes approaches I was wondering if it would be in Jeremy's interests to admit to what he did, blame it on the Zeitgeist or his misspent youth or drugs and in that way try as best he can to move on rather than try and spin out the ordeal for surviving family(one thinks of Colin in particular who deserves the truth however shocking). Whether the Defence are looking for new evidence similar to the Sion Jenkins case, the reliability of Prosecution evidence as in the Barry George case or the State just wanting to be rid of the murderous old bag Sheila Bowler, wouldn't Jeremy now just be best served by his lawyers if they told him to come clean and they could all take it from there.
