Hi Scip
Neville did not arrive during her episode with Freddie till the following day, he refused to come out to her.
Freddie was concerned, so concerned he phoned Colin's mother, who arrived and left very quickly having been told to leave by Sheila. Not one, but three doctors came out to her during the night. Poor lass had relapsed and this episode was the cause of her going back into hospital. Neville did not pack her things and take her home to WHF he thought it would be better for her to go to hospital.
Sheila was a difficult patient to threat for she missed appointments and failed to take on going medication. Not only was she suffering from schizophrenia, she had the dilemma of not telling her birth parents about contact with her birth mother. Shelia was also betrayed by the one she loved, Colin. She had so much to deal with, she could not cope. Sheila's appearance was at the foot of everything, she wanted to look good, always straightening her dress and asking people if they thought she looked alright. Was her appearance an obsession?
OK, she may not have been violent, but she frightened the living daylights out of Freddie to the point where he became desperate to get help. Her only violence was the repeatedly bash the wall, or throw pots and pans, with the exception that at one occasion she struck Colin.
Could she under a delusion, have picked up the rifle, loaded a magazine and shot her family? Did they become her enemies? if so, she would not have known who they were and under her delusion, she was not aware that she was killing anyone, the rifle was the killer. Did she didn't she, could she have done this, or was it impossible for her to have killed her family under her delusional state of mind? Many questions need answering honestly.
The whole point is that she didn't recognize anyone and was scared of everyone for a long period and according to the account she instantly recognized Nevill and calmed down. This is Freddie's account not mine. If people want to use his account of this event then they should use the whole account not cherry pick to suit their agenda.
The simple reality is that Sheila only had delusions when she was not taking medication and even then wasn't violent towards others. Furthermore, she was set off by events not just suddenly delusional from nothing. There was nothing to set her off while everyone was in bed and she was on her medication. SO even before we look at the specific murder evidence the notion Sheila did it is suspect.
There is no way Sheila could have committed the murders without getting GSR on her body and clothing, soot on her clothing and blood from the victims on her clothing and body, particularly Nevill's blood but she also would have had high velocity spatter from June. Furthermore she would have had some type of damage to her hands and nails unless wearing gloves and evidence on her feet unless wearing shoes. If she had gloves they would have been found at the scene.
There is considerable evidence she could not have killed herself either. there was no GSR on her hands or gown, no soot on her gown, no elevated lead levels or visible lead deposit stains as would exist if she had loaded bullets, the moderator was used to kill her then after she was dead it was removed and pu in the closet. Furthermore, the killer dragged her body flat in order to place the weapon on her and stuck a Bible in a pool of blood that formed after her death.
We know Jeremy told a number of lies including falsely claiming the kitchen phone was broken in order to remove the bedroom phone and place it in the kitchen and his bogus story about taking out the gun to shoot rabbits, finding it with the scope and moderator unattached (which initially featured the lie the gun could not be put away with the accessories on it so that is why they had been removed) , and then leaving the gun, loaded magazine and bullets out. He made this story up and staged the bullets after the murders but staged too many. There is no way in hell that Sheila would have used 17-20 bullets from the supply he left out and then decided to stop using that supply and instead to go get 5-8 more rounds from the office closet. In part Jeremy made up this story and left the phone in the kitchen off the hook so police would believe that Sheila was arguing with Nevill in the kitchen, found a weapon of opportunity , grabbed it, threatened him with it and then while he called Jeremy she attacked him causing the phone call to be disconnected and killed him then went about killing the others.
We know though this is not what happened. We know the killer entered the master bedroom and shot June in bed and Nevill as he was in the process of getting up out of bed- he was not fully upright based on the trajectories. 6 shots were fired into June and 4 into Nevil and the gun was empty. Then either the killer fled to the kitchen to get more ammo with Nevill pursuing to stop the reloading or Neivll went to the kitchen to arm himself and was pursued by the killer. Either way the killer and Jeremy fought in the kitchen where Nevill was repeatedly bashed with the butt of the rifle, blood splattered on the stock of the rifle and the killer and eventually Nevill was knocked unconscious. The killer then reloaded and shot him 4 times more killing him. The killer then reloaded fully rather than go upstairs with a partial magazine thus resulting in 11 bullets in the gun because the chamber had one in it already. 1 was fired between June's eyes as she lay on the floor just to make sure she was dead. 8 were used on the boys and the last 2 on Sheila resulting in the gun being empty. The killer then removed the moderator and put it away then decide dot drag her body flat so the gun could be placed on her body and after her body was moved flat and a pool of blood formed the Bible was placed in the pool of blood.
This is not a close case, it is quite obvious that Jeremy is guilty and that is why the trial lawyers had such a hard time and why on appeal his lawyers can't come up with anything to help free him. This is not a case where it is simply Julie's word against his. There is a great deal of evidence that corroborates Julie's claims not the least of which is the fact Jeremy called her before police and then lied about it and claimed he called police first. He had no valid reason to call her at all so just making a call period to her is suspicious but doing so before police and then lying about it is especially so. This also corroborates her claim he called to tell her he did it and to try to get her to support his false story that he received a call from Nevill. At some point people should to stop making excuses for his various lies and to look at the implication of the lies in combination with the other evidence.
