It's probably the least worst option. But it's a Pyrrhic victory on Russia's part, and is a blow to the economy and its hope for future population growth. https://www.bing.com/videos/riverview/relatedvideo?q=how+many+soldiers+has+russia+lost+in+ukraine&mid=276F6B36EC42549A29B8276F6B36EC42549A29B8&FORM=VIRE
There is a big clue in the title that this may not an "entirely impartial" narrative.
"‘Highest price for war’: Russia lost 430,000 soldiers in 2024,
says Ukraine"
"Says Ukraine" hmmm
If you are still believing the nonsense about Russia's economy that you have repeated on here since forever then you are immune to facts. It has never been possible to effectively sanction Russia because the world needs Russia's resources to be available in order to function. Russia is also autarkic and therefore immune to sanctions. This has long been known by anyone who wants to know. I have pointed these facts out many times in the past, if you don't want to know, then...

We will see how "Pyrhhic" Russia's victory is when everything is done. The terms of any negotiations to end hostilities will be largely dictated by the Russians. They are after all, as even you admit, the victors. The exact nature of that victory is yet to settled. The question of who they are the victors against, is also apparent, by the "counter party" in these "negotiations". It isn't Ukraine, is it?
The US(the Big Dog of NATO) is who are conducting negotiations( on behalf of Ukraine

). France and Germany(also NATO members) were the Guarantors of the Minsk Accords. The UK (also NATO) members openly played a part in ending the Istanbul peace talks. All NATO members have been arming, funding, training, using all intelligence and recon assets, AWACS, satellites and everything and anything they had to offer. Economic warfare by way of the ludicrous sanctions. NATO have been defeated by Russia in Ukraine. To anyone who claimed that Russia are weak militarily because they can't even defeat Ukraine, maybe a rethink is in order.
What terms do you expect will be dictated by Russia on what a future Ukraine will be? What is the bare minimum that they will accept in negotiations? If you can decide that a victory is "Pyrrhic" before the hostilities have ended and terms even discussed, never mind decided, then maybe you still have a few things to consider.
