EP did not carry out any official ballistic tests, to see which weapons were used to kill the victim...

Or, was there one, but the details have not been disclosed, because the results tell a completely different story?

Perhaps there was two official test firings of the gun(s), a silencer and control ammunition - where the conclusions of one were designed to support the "four murders and a suicide" theory, and the other, designed to support the "five murders", theory?, Where more than one gun was used in the "four murders and a suicide" case, but only a one gun crime when it altered into five murders?

David Shaw's take on the ballistics in this case, is a very interesting one...

The 25 bullet wounds, inflicted upon the five victims, were all linked to the gun, by reference to the 25 bullet cases - only 15 of the 25 bullets could be positively linked to the gun, and there was no physical or scientific evidence to link, any of the 25 bullet cases, to any of the 15 bullets that could be linked to the gun, or to the other 10 bullets which could not be. In addition, not all the bullet cases which form part of the batch of crime scene ammunition, were coated in white superglue residue, despite them all allegedly having been fingerprinted by superglue treatment on 23rd August 1985...

None of the 25 bullets had a crucial follower plate mark on them - suggestive that some were not original bullet cases...

Mike, I agree that the ballistics "evidence" is interesting and if it had been properly dealt with a the time could have had a significant effect on the outcome of the trial, but if the physical ballistics evidence has been destroyed is this a subject that can actually help JB.

Is the ballistics topic being presented by JB (and his legal team) to the CCRC?

... At 2002 appeal, judges said that because EP had destroye all the crime scend ammo' in 1996, without consulting anyone, they would look favourably at any issue which JB's legal team might submit in connection with the same - ballistics has not yet been explored, considered, or rejected...

Appellate court did not specify a time limit, when offer to look favourable upon ballistic matters, which is the basis of my research into it - the favourable comments made by the appellate court in 2002, are legally binding until argued, considered, and rejected...

Central to any argument involving the bullets and bullet cases, is the fact that EP appear to have disguised for the fact that more than one gun was used in the shootings, and that the owners of these other guns, could be implicated in the shootings, contradicting the comments made by the trial judge, Mr Justice Drake - 'there is no suggestion, that anyone else, other than the defendant, or Shiela hershelf, had committed the murders'? Those comments, were bias in favour of inviting the jury to convict JB of the murders, on the basis that Shìela's death was described as a murder, not a suicide...

Would the alleged phone call from Ralph to JB not contradict that?

Was the other gun the curious double calibre gun which made the burn marks on Ralph's back ? All Police ammunition must have been checked out and then checked in after the raid on whf.... Who handed this curious weapon in to the Police - it  must have some connection to the murders if it matches the burn marks - some suggest it was a family member ? Would they have knowledge of the layout of the farm, did JB act with this person ? Was the assasin a family member with a grudge - did they plot the thing together and then frame JB who was not the sharpest knife in the drawer ? In this case no pre-payment required !

Eley the ammunitions manufacturer, had a machine which joined the bullets to the bullet cases by a crimping process that left very distinctive crimping marks on the bullet cases, and the corresponding bullets - yet none of these crimping marks which were present upon the 15 bullets that the ballistic expert could link to the Family owned .22 anshulz rifle, or upon the other 10 bullets, that could not be linked to that gun - he could not match the corresponding manufacturers marks upon all the bullets and the bullet cases...

White super-glue residue was not found on all 25 bullet cases, which contradicts the suggestion that all 25 bullet cases were exposed to super-glue treatment on 23rd August 1985, by DI Ronald Walter Cook (SOC)...
