The morning of the murders was different to any other in the life of Sheila Caffell, because she had not killed anyone at all before then. So, after killing the other four, she washed herself down, and left her bloodstained panties to soak in a bucket of cold water downstairs in the corner of the kitchen. She must also have removed her blue leggings which had got blood upon them and washed them before taking them upstairs to hang over the bannister rail at the top of the stairs . It is very telling that it was as if she had been leaving markers in rooms where she had shot dead her parents, for example, heavily stained panties downstairs in the kitchen where Ralph died, and the wet / damp blue leggings hanging over the bannister outside the door to the main bedroom close to where the body of June Bamber was eventually photographed. Inside the bedroom at around 7.15am, she left the rifle she had used leaning against the bedroom window which was immediately spotted by WPC Julia Jeapes. I think Sheila placed the rifle at the window as a signal to the police outside that the shootings inside had finished, and she was ready for them to enter the farmhouse downstairs. Whether or not she had planned to trick the police into thinking that they could now come into the house so that she could confront them, or not, we will never know, but by that stage she knew that police would be delayed entering the main kitchen because Ralph's body was sat on a chair directly behind the inner door, and because of this if police entered the farmhouse through the back farmhouse door they would only get access to a side of the farmhouse that did not allow them anywhere directly to her, since upstairs on that part of the farmhouse the only other means to get access to the other side of the farmhouse where the gun was resting against the bedroom window, was through a panel in the bathroom which she had locked using catches on the bathroom side of the panel. Having said all of this, Sheila knew that the only other way to get directly to her on that side of the farmhouse, was via the front door, but if police did that then they would have to come up the main stairs at the front of the premises. There is no proof at all that Sheila was wearing the light blue night dress that she ended up being photographed in after 10 am when PC Bird first started to take photographs of her dressed in it. I believe that after she shot and killed the other four victims, that she may well have performed ritualistic cleansing of her body, which may also have involved placing items of her own clothing at significant parts of the farmhouse as described. Any blood photographed upon the nightdress she is wearing by the time PC Bird photographs her, is evidence of her being shot by police after she had killed the others, and gone through the ritualistic performance, and marker placement at key areas around the killing sites...
