Bamber's actions on the night were wildly erratic. Lots of untruths were told.
Upon arriving at WHF he immediately set about insinuating Sheila. Rather unfairly calling her a nutter, looney do lally and saying she should be locked up. He has since claimed he did not understand her illness. You bet he didn't.
Quite why Bamber told the police Sheila knew how to use all weapons inside WHF, I do not know. He later testified she had limited experience with guns. Although there is a strong argument she had no experience.
After a stroll around WHF and a trick of the light, it was time for a sit down in a police car and a chat about Porsche's. Bamber forgetting to tell the police there is a way into WHF through windows ( he did not have a front door key). He made no attempt to get the police to speed up their actions.
A nice diagram was drawn up for the police before Julie was informed 'I've only got one 10p. A police car is coming to pick you up'.
Officers have said how calm Bamber was throughout this period. He certainly was not 'coming quickly' into WHF which Neville had asked him to do in his 'mysterious' phone call.
After being informed of the massacre, Bamber seemed upset and sobbed, drinking tea, requesting whisky was included. Going into the fields and attempting (but failing) to be sick. Returning with some flowers in his hands, saying they are for his (now dead) family.
He then told an officer Sheila had committed child abuse on the twins. Which he had not reported.
The sobbing briefly stopped when asked about the dog. A dog messing up his stereo equipment ? I don't think so.
Despite the shock, Bamber was ok to drive back to his cottage. Then make breakfast before giving his statement to the police.
Do other people agree Bamber's actions at WHF were erratic ?
