Senior Police Officers trapped inside Kitchen for 15 minutes - DCI "George" Harris, DCI "Terry" Gibbons, and PI "Ivor" Montgomery, were trapped inside the kitchen at whf, for 15 minutes, between 8:15am and 8:30am...

For over twenty five years (25), Essex police have kept a very dark secret, surrounding how three senior police officers became trapped inside the kitchen at whf, and the circumstances which led to their ordeal ending, which culminated in Sheila Caffell, being shot once in the bedroom - a shot under the chin which ended her life...

Throughout this 15 minute period, DCI "George" Harris, kept ACC Peter Simpson, updated - by use of the kitchen telephone...

These senior officers had to blockade themselves into the kitchen, by placing a very large wooden chair in front of the internal kitchen door through which the firearms team had first entered the kitchen at 7:37am, and uprighting the kitchen table and pushing it across the kitchen floor in the direction of a set of spiral stairs which gave access to the kitchen from the upstairs landing...

It was these three senior police officers, who placed items of clothing, a towel and some cushions from some of the kitchen chairs onto the kitchen floor, with a view to trying to contain the spread of blood - at the time they were trapped inside the kitchen...
