nugnug I guess from what he saw he accepted 4 murders and one suicide but others higher up the rank thought differently and I guess this is why he was removed from the case as he would not change his stance.  Wonder had he not been accidently killed if he would have testified at the trial for the defence Bambergate is a good guy to talk to on this subject as I understand he talked to Taff's widow.

Yes he did Susan. Bambergate also told us on the forum that Taffs death was an accident.

All,or most of the original 4 murders and a suicide,are held under PII,so we'll never know and it's not fair really as no reason has been given for their " secrecy".
Could have been a bit of envy going on that others hadn't been there first ( looking for promotion,or hanging on to their jobs because of the Diane Jones case ) where the higher-ups had been seething at the incompetence of the force.

Hi Patti I have never thought anything other than it was an accident but it makes one think had this accident not happened would the whole case have changed. Would Taff have dared to speak up against his colleagues or would he have remained silent like many others have.

Mind you,none of them were going to admit defeat anyway ! Nor admit to a bad investigation. They were all too busy thinking about themselves.
