Chapter 31, page 220 of Wilkes's book -
Julies mother Mary Mugford followed her daughter into the witness box.
She said 'Jeremy hated his mother & blamed her for turning Sheila mad. And he resented her for loving the twins more than him. Jeremy disliked his mother intensely & I felt he was more affectionate to me'.
'He used to call me mummy all the time. He offerred me his mothers small car which had been bought that Christmas. This was just after the shooting. A list had been drawn up and he was going to keep no momentoes, which I thought very strange. He wanted to sell everthing'.
'Jeremy resented his mother because she sent him away to boarding school. He never forgave her for that.
'Apparently she was a religious maniac'.
'A few months before the murders Jeremy had told me her mother was thinking of changing her will in favour of her grandsons, on whom she doted'.
'Jeremy never spoke to his mother & she never showed any affection towards him'.
'He often spoke of this'.

If Bamber never forgave June for sending him to boarding school, then there is a possibility the relationship broke down when he was 6.
Bamber contradicts himself here. Testifying that he agreed with MM's testimony. But telling Wilkes it broke down when he was 17.
Either way, it was a long time and after robbing his parents it was not getting any better.
Adam you insinuated that the information about JB and june not talking came from Jeremy - now it appears the OS was julies Mother ? So In other words the Fact that you presented that they had not talked for years came from the Mother of the star prosecution witness?
All Jeremy had ever said was that his relationship with June had been strained in the past but the couple of years before the murders their relationship had been better . Also Colin C who knew the family better NEVER said in his book that Jeremy and June never spoke to each other.
So your post was a misinterpretation of the facts.
And As for the title of your thread it is perfectly possible that Jeremy borrowed the bike from his Mother for Julie - so all you have is his word against hers - so any comments will be opinion only.
