Have seen this mentioned every so often but guess it comes from speculation in a book, could be Wilkes, not sure I cant remember if ut was mentioned in there.
Hope you're feeling a little better this morning, Grahame. :)
Not too bad Maggie. If I don't move that is. I'll feel better once they have taken the bits of equipment out of my insides.  ;D

Aww,Mr G. It's not been a very good year for you, healthwise,so I sincerely hope that next year things will start to pick up for you. You've had a rough ride and seemingly you've been brave about it too,so chin up and take things easy. You'll be fine. As the song goes " there's life in the old dog yet ".xx  ;D

What classic signs? The only one you mention wouldn't mean anything in isolation, as an innocent person wouldn't have any guilty knowledge to blank out. Who was this "psychiatrist"?

It is in Wilkes's book. And in a Youtube video.

Yes I haven't been able to find any record of him/her either?

a name and words in context are always useful :)

I believe he is assessed every year and every time they cannot find any psychopathic traits in him. I'm afraid we are going to need more than the thoughts of an "eminent" yet "anonymous" psychiatrists opinion.

It depends on what people class as a psychopath. Everyone will have different views.

Bamber was an Inheritance killer. Although there were lots of other motivational factors. There have been lots of 'Inheritance killers', I do not recall any of them being called a psychopath. Although Bamber's killing was especially gruesome.

If people class people like Peter Sutcliffe & Robert Napper as a psychopath, then Bamber was not one. Although pre trial an expert hired by the defence said he was a psychopath.

It is not really that important in my view. There was a motive, opportunity and no alibi. The circumstantial & forensic evidence leads straight to Bamber.

If it's not that important to you, then why keep banging on about it. It appears that whenever the subject comes up you are the first to jump on it and "prove" that he is a psychopath by quoting this mysterious "eminent" psychologist? Then when it is indicated that he is found not to be a psychopath you say it doesn't really matter anyway. Very revealing indeed.

Well post 99 mentions a lot of people who were brought in to help Bamber, but did more harm than good.

Reader asked me about the psychiatrist who said he was a psychopath. I provided two sources.

As I said it is not that important to me. People like Bob Woffinden call him a psychopath. Others think he is not.  But Bamber can claim to pass as many tests as he wants, it will not free him.

Unfortunately your "two" sources proved in the end to be no sources at all. We still do not know the name of this mysterious "eminent" psychologist or in fact that he/she ever existed except in the fertile imagination of Wilkes who himself does not provide any source for his information.

You think Wilkes made it up ? It is a serious thing to make up.

He interviewed everyone connected to the case, including Bamber, excluding Julie.

The Youtube video is unbiased with half of it suggesting Sheila did it.
