We dont know what was in the recordings.  It's been argued that copies were made but I personally do not know if that is true.  I'm very dubious about the original recording having been either overdubbed or destroyed, as this was not a routine incident but a major one.

The EP initially accepted that Sheila had committed suicide, so they must have known that this could happen; but I doubt that Jeremy did. There was no internet or all the crime shows we have now.

The full details have not been withheld - we know the full details. People simply refuse to accept the FULL details because it doesn't go with an innocent opinion. Some even going so far as to try and alter the times that Jeremy himself gave in his initial statements and invent a scenario where calls were monitored. Trying to wheedle out the invented fiction from this case is impossible because it just keeps being perpetuated in vain hope.

No one has yet come up with any answer to explain why (if such recording PROVED) either Nevill called Jeremy, Nevill called police (or both) - why such recordings were not used to inform the relatives that Sheila was guilty and their suspicions re: Jeremy were unfounded. Instead (if you go with the conspiracy theory), they made themselves look like idiots by changing from Sheila to Jeremy even though they had proof it wasn't him. The victims and crucial evidence from the farmhouse had been cremated and the reporting of it was dying down. However, they chose to stoke the flames and knowingly frame an innocent man. Why?

Tape recordings were mentioned in the item list for Stokenchurch. Whether they proved or disproved anything is not the question we should be asking. But rather were any of the recordings listened to in court and by the jury.

What has been withheld about the phone callls/logs? You don't know any of the facts about the case, you just name drop, cut and paste from the OS and harp back to the time when you were on the phone list. You're like M's Havesham from Great Expectations!!
