well handling a case at appeal stage is much tougher than at trial stage the real test of a good barrister.

I don't entirely agree with that nugnug.  It is true that some are better at cross examination and speaches to the jury, others better at making submissions to judges.  Both are very important.

I know Maggie, trial by media is still alive and well, just like the in the Bamber case 25 years earlier.
It's funny another case of keystone cops because they always say when someone goes missing try looking close to home. This case should have been solved much quicker instead of the family suffering a painful wait to find out who was the real killer. The press judge, jury and executioner
When will it ever stop?

well the suns story about the topless photos is a good comparsion.

I was out last night so I am looking forward to catching up tonight.

I saw a glimpse and the accused was saying he could remember some things from 2 weeks ago.

Echoes the bamber case and Jeremy's memory

An absolute disgrace what ordeal the man had to suffer, and I doubt though people in authority huff and puff that anything has really changed.http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2014/dec/14/police-must-shoulder-blame-for-jefferies-mauling

Charles Napier,step-brother of the MP for Maldon, jailed for 13 years. John Whittingdale, who is a half-brother to Napier,is a friend of Jeremys' relatives. Between them all, they must have damned Jeremy to Hell, now the boot's on the other foot. I wonder if JW's visits to WHF have tailed off ? A case of people in glass houses if ever there was one.

I'm afraid there are very few politicians that I have any respect for. At this very moment I must say that I can think spontaneously of none.
I can see the influence that a lot of PM's have in that they know the "right" people to further their own selfish ends. It always has been so and for as long as this world wallows in its wickedness will be until the end of all things. I wonder to what surprises we shall all be witness when the secrets of all men shall be revealed. The greater the responsibility, the more damning the crime. I believe in a day of judgment when even the hearts of the judges will be laid bare.
