It would be a major boost if Mike Mansfield became involved.  He is very impressive indeed.  He is fearless and tenacious on behalf of his clients, as well as being very thorough.  He was very helpful to me when I started out in practice, in the same chambers as Mike at that time.

He's excellent,ngb.Some would say he's controversial,but that would depend on their way of thinking. He's a very fair man who believes strongly that the public should see justice being done with nothing " wrapped up ".

i dont know all that much about him other than he defended Barry george he must be pretty good becouse he seems to be in great demand.

He's a brilliant defense expert,nugs. Speciality is MOJ's. He's a fearless man who'll go beyond the boundaries to get to the truth. It's worth googling him and reading about what he stands for in law.

I agree entirely.  He is also very impressive in court.

He does deserve it Nugnug.  He is also a very decent person - approachable and not condescending, despite his achievements and reputation.

well handling a case at appeal stage is much tougher than at trial stage the real test of a good barrister.

But Mr Jefferies, a retired English teacher who lived alone, combined the prissiness of a polo neck with eccentrically unkempt white hair and a shabby old coat. Under the deranged scrutiny of the media, he had the misfortune to arrange his face in such a way that he appeared to be smirking. This, in the eyes of his tormentors, was enough.
