Merging the different silencers into one and the same silencer
According to Essex police, there was only ever just the one Parker hale silencer, which had three different exhibit references, and two different Lab' item numbers, at one time or another during the time of these investigations...
There were two parts to this investigation:-
Part one - four murders and a suicide, investigated under a crime reference of SC/688/85
Part two - five murders, investigated under a crime reference of SC/786/85
Silencers SBJ/1 and DB/1, formed part of the SC/688/85 investigation, whilst DRB/1 formed part and parcel of the SC/786/85 investigation...
It is all well and good, Essex police leading us to believe there was only one silencer, but they received four different identical looking silencers into their possession at one time or another, namely:-
(1) The Pargeter silencer (SBJ/1)
(2) The Robert Woodwis Boutflour silencer
(3) The David Boutflour silencer
(4) The Bamber silencer (DRB/1)
Two silencers which belonged to the Boutflours were collected by a motor cycle outrider and taken to Chelmsford Crown court at the time Jeremy stood trial, which were not exhibited as exhibits and no explanation was even given for their production at court at that time, these were handed back to the Boutflours after Jeremy was convicted of the murders...
Nobody knows what happened top the Pargeter silencer, although by the time of COLPS investigation in 1991, Anthony Pargeter had it back in his possession, because COLP seized it from him as part of their investigation...
The Bamber silencer, ended up being displayed at Essex police's black museum, along with the bloodstained Bamber rifle...
The circumstances of how each of these four different identical looking silencers ended up, or found their way into the possession of Essex police, has still to this day, some twenty five years later, not yet been divulged to the public, or to Bamber, or his legal representatives...
All anyone wants to know, is when did each of these silencers find their way into the possession of Essex police, and what happened to each of them after the police took possession of them?
