I didn´t start a thread on Colin´s book because I thought he is an Oracle. I don´t understand your way of thinking, Adam.

It's one thing 'not knowing' something and quite another explaining an incident to someone. He was told that Jeremy didn't work on the farm by Nevill's cousin Chris Neville. I think he would know given that he was there at the time.

I doubt that Bamber would travel to NZ to work on Chris Neville's farm. He might as well stay at WHF. At least his father will give him free petrol and other perks.

Where does it say that Chris Neville says Jeremy never worked on  his farm ?

We don't know if Neville gave Jeremy an ultimatum latterly regarding Jeremy's future in farming,i.e. to take over from his father as Neville considered retiring.
For all any of us know,there could have been a conversation pertaining to this that someone had overheard------------and passed on. This being so would have ruffled a few feathers,especially if the conversation was overheard by Chris Nevill who lived abroad. Nothing like buggering off and leaving a sour taste in the mouths of those who WANTED a vested interest.

It was deliberately off topic as a book review - nothing else - so how can you contribute to a book review if you have not read it?

And we of course will quote from the book - as it is a first hand event - Some of the information in it is a good insight to what happened immediately after the murders and what he went through.

Some of it seems to deal with his guilt and his road to dealing with the tragedy.

Well acording to several people who know Bamber personally have stated that he would like a small farm when he gets out and I can well believe that he worked on a farm when he was in New Zealand as in the 80's it was jut about the only casual labour anyone could get over there.

I think if he was interested, he's have shown an interest. Chris Nevill (who he stayed with) said he wasn't interested in farm work and worked in bars.

It COULD always be argued that if he was THAT interested in farming, there was farming to be had nearer to home that going to NZ to find it.

No, Lookout, it doesn't........................but it DOES beg the question of, given that his financial future was entailed to farming and POSSIBLY having to take responsibility for Sheila (?). how he was going to successfully fulfill his own needs. No one could blame him for wanting to free himself from financial/emotional chains.

I really think that the responsibility that he was facing at the time,would have been the making of him as he'd have emulated his father to a degree,which nobody wanted,that was plain to see.
