I will find the thread on June's offer to buy Julie a property.

allegedly she also called her a harlot - and did not like Julies and Jeremys living arrangements

So read into that what you want.

I read that too,Jansus. June kept referring to JM as " that harlot ". In defence of JM,Jeremy kept the peace by not speaking to his mother ( how sad was that ? ) As a consequence,Jeremy spent most of his time at Colchester,JM's mothers' home, where the atmosphere was less stifling. This was the time that Jeremy used to call Mary Mugford " mummy ".

He must have missed having a mother.
Wonder if he had that relationship with Suzette Ford, an older woman, a mother, because of that?

It's quite possible,Alias her being ten years older than Jeremy at the time, except that sexually she was experienced and he was putty in her hands so to speak. Both were flattered with each other, her with a young man and he with an older woman.
Jeremy used to laugh to himself about the romps with Suzette, then he had to be home at a certain time because of his mothers strict ground rules. One activity laughed at the other.
Imagine telling your girlfriend they'll have to be " quick about it " or he'll have to face the wrath of his mother. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

There is an interesting passage in Wilkes's book.

Neville complained to BW about how much Jeremy & Sheila were costing. 'Jeremy wanted so much money', said Neville. He thought he could have anything he wanted.

Neville then said 'we will have to find a new hiding place for the safe key'.

If Jeremy's WS is correct, and Sheila was going to move into his cottage, it seems that Jeremy was going to be given a much smaller and cheaper place. Or was going to have to finance getting his own property himself.

Time and money was running out for Jeremy. It was 'now or never'.

Not sure Jeremy's recently purchased expensive sun bed would have fitted in a smaller place.

But his recently purchased expensive microwave oven would have.

Neville complained about Jeremy purchasing these items. Probably aware Jeremy would soon be approaching him wanting some dosh.

He had more than a microwave, and that was the bone of contention among most.

As you were probably no more than a blob in 1985, I can't think what use you'd have had for one.

Neither do I. Which is why I have not got one.

Prefer to steam.
