Guess who wrote out Julie Mugfords first (Confession) statement to EP, on 8th September 1985?

DS "Stan" Jones, the same officer who befriended the relatives, and who helped them to introduce the silencer evidence...

Please note that DS Jones, tampered with his pocketbook that contained all the evidence about his involvement in this investigation, and in particular, his involvement with the relatives, and Julie Mugford (who were all prosecution witnesses)

The section of Mugford's statement regarding June Bamber  reminds me of the parents of a former boyfriend of mine. They were both religious fanatics and drove us mad, especially his mother:

"Don't hold hands in the street...don't walk along with your arm around her, what will the neighbours think?...you must go to church...you must pray...you must say Grace...you must help the vicar...what are you doing, you aren't using the right spoon, use the grapefruit spoon...can't you find a nice girl from the church?" On and on the bloody woman went.

MY boyfriend used to say that he hated his f....ing mother and that he'd kill her if she didn't shut up - and he meant it. He never did it though.

Perhaps Kaldin's thinking: Hmmm...gives JM 34 coaching sessions, writes her statements...hmmm...how much of this story was hers and how much was his? I certainly am.

My boyfriend's parents were so controlling and I'm sure that was a feature of their religious fundamentalism. It was also, mind you, a feature of their raging snobbery.

I'm sorry to speak ill of the dead, but I have to say that June Bamber sounds so much like my ex-boyfriend's mother, a dreadful snob, very controlling and interfering and impossible to live with.

My boyfriend was forced to teach in their church's Sunday school. He hated it. Eventually, of course, he rebelled big time. First by going out with me, second, by smoking, which drove his mother mental.

He also rebelled by stealing part of the collection from the Sunday school every week to pay for his cigarettes. It was his way of standing up to his parents and of asserting a tiny modicum of independence and control over his life. He stole collection money for many months: until he was caught and they stopped hm teaching at Sunday school. His parents were mortified, but it served them right really, they should not have been so controlling.

Although Julie Mugfords statement is dated, 8th September 1985, it becomes clear that parts of it were written on the 9th September 1985, in particular, as per the references on page 21, at 1.20pm on 9th September 1985, and similarly, on page 32, at 10pm, on 9th September 1985...

Why, therefore, is the first statement made by JM, dated 8th September 1985, when it was made over a two day period, between 8th and 9th September 1985?

JB was in custody at this time, being interviewed by DS "Stan" Jones, and it appears as though he was fluctuating between interviewing JB and taking a statement from JM, and that he may have been ensuring that JM was mentioning things that were being put to JB, in interviews...
