The log was altered to try to make it look like Jeremy was blaming Sheila when he never actually did so, is that really what you are trying to claim?

Because he told the police on the scene all about how Sheila was a nutter and fired all the guns int he house and how his father called him to say she had a gun.  Trying to pretend the only piece of evidence that demosntrates Jeremy blamed Sheila is the log is a total waste of time and effort.

Police at the scene quizzed Jeremy as to occupants, firearms, ammunitions, and it was the firearms team and other police officers in attendance who put the specific point about Sheila being armed inside the farmhouse to Jeremy, not the other way around - all Jeremy did was respond to what he was being questioned about, which has in some way become misconstrued as though he instigated the conversation, and led police to question him in a specific way, when he did not...

Jeremy told them his sister was a nutter and that his father told him she had had gone crazy and had a gun. He described numerous weapons and told police she had used them in the past including the rifle he claimed he left on the kitchen table which he said he taught her how to use.

Since he realized that would look suspicious that he taught her how to use it he changed his claims and when questioned by Jones and Ckark said she shot with others not him , he never knew her to fire a weapon.

Police didn't put any words in his mouth he blamed Sheila when calling West, talking to police on the scene and his statements.

Who else could Jeremy blame------------the twins ? Of course he'd say Sheila because of her mental state, though he didn't fully understand it at the time. Neither did anyone else, including her psychiatrist !

Police didn't put any words in his mouth he blamed Sheila when calling West, talking to police on the scene and his statements.

Police started to question Jeremy about Sheila at the scene shortly after arriving there at 3.52am, because by that stage Ralph himself had alreasy contacted the police and told them (3,26am) that "my daughter has got hold of one of my guns"...

Police instigated the questioning of Jeremy at the scene, and later, because they had information from Ralph himself that Sheila was loose inside the farm house in possession of one of Ralph Bambers guns. Jeremy did not know that his father had phoned the police or what Ralph had said to them - police were simply gathering intelligence about Sheila's mental and psychological condition, and also trying to find out if Sheila was capable of using any gun that she might currently be in possession of...

The only reason some confusion has arisen regarding where Jeremy says he left the rifle on the previous evening, is because the family regarded the area just inside the rear external court yard door as 'the back kitchen', and the 'main kitchen' being the one with the aga stove and surround. He placed the rifle on the seat of a wooden settle near to the door in the back kitchen, not on the table in the main kitchen...

I still dont think he used those words exactly . If you read the notes and statements form the night he used the proper medical term to describe her illness .

The other words attributed to him ( most of which he denies) came in statements after Sept when he was arrested.

As he did not know any shots had been fired when he made the original call I can imagine that as time went on and the police did not go in , the seriousness of the situation was slowly sinking in. For all we know he was probably expecting the police just to knock on the door , calm the situation and everything would have been ok.

I bet Jeremy was petrified at the thought/mention of Sheila waving a gun. No wonder he drove slowly from his house. He probably thought better a live coward than a dead hero.
I wonder what was going through his mind, besides being scared.
Who'd have been in a rush to get there anyway ? Not me,that's for sure.

Even him driving slowly was taken the wrong way  ::) If he'd have sped to the farmhouse in his usual fashion,it would also have appeared suspicious,so what was it to be ?
