Agree. June was inheriting half of MS's will. None was going directly to Jeremy.

June would have spent the next 5, 10 or 20 years supporting Sheila and the twins. Maybe a few retirement holidays as well. Oh and a new bike. Jeremy had taken her last one.

So no more claims from posters saying Jeremy did not have to commit the massacre because he was about to inherit a large amount from MS. You know who you are.

It was better to massacre before MS died. Then June & Neville would not get a chance to spend any of it.

Jeremy would be able to go on some more holidays.

don't you ever think before you post?

You are quite shocking sometimes >:(

Now I don't want to stir things up again - but I checked RB official statement about the will and he said I THINK the original will was June and Pamela. Important word that covering lots of possibilities.

Also was Vidvic supposed to be "close " to the family?

Because he said this in a post referring to Jeremy.

"He was only one of a number of beneficiary's to Granny Speakmans will.

I liked it when you called me 'Sir' last night.

Did you like my Eggs Benedict in bed, or did it need more pepper ?

Both my grandmothers died less than a year ago. I did not receive anything, they both left their property to their kids.

I received nothing from my grandparents.

Me and my sister got everything from my deceased mother. My step father left everything for me, my sister and his sister.

Good choice of the word normally because obviously there are exceptions and people who do leave something to all generations but even then it typically is a token amount not the bulk.  Unless your kids were rotten you usually give the bulk to them.  Divorces and new spouses are what tend to muddy things up in that regard.

It says that Jeremy thought Mable Speakman was cold and distant and never felt close to her.

Even on birthday's and Christmas, MS would give money to June, to choose a present for Jeremy.

It's by no means unusual for grandparents to give money fo presents to the parents of growing children for no more suspect reasons that the parents are more likely to know what the children want. It's also possible that the grandparent can't, for various reasons, get to the shops. Whilst MS's reputation wasn't one of warmth and empathy OR child friendliness, it DOES show her as a devout woman who adhered strictly to duty. She may have provided generously for her grandchildrens' presents.
