I may be wrong but I think you will find it was a much later statement and did not match up with the original statement or notebook.

What are you smoking?  He sued them even though he had been convicted. You seem to know nothing at all about his character and instead have some fantasy view of how pious he is.

Quite frankly, just between you and me..... ......most people know what is in their relative's wills. Nothing is strange about this at all. Trouble is that we always tend to attach a mystery to the things we hear on the forum when there is no mystery at all. The people who wrote the wills probably told those who were in their wills anyway. Nothing underhanded at all?
