I would so love that to happen,April. It'd be the one time in my life that I'd turn my back on someone.

Wasn´t it mostly physical evidence they destroyed - clothes and such? In a case that was still active and being appealed.

Yes Alias, I think you're right and wasn't it destroyed just as DNA was starting to get used?

The first DNA cases were in 1987.

I might not go that far, Lookout but it would be very gratifying to me knowing that they knew what it felt like to be helpless.

Dispite all these documents being denied. Jeremy apparently has obtained damaging photos of the police.

Urinating at WHF. A banner at WHF & the police with dead bodies in lewd positions.

Surely these photos would have been destroyed in 96 or before.
They were given to him by mistake. Who knows, they might form part of his latest appeal? Everyone knows what I think of the CCRC. They have the power to demand all these documents that the police hold. Yet they refuse to demand their release for some reason. Me thinks that somehow they are less than enthusiastic concerning justice? Sack the lot. It's the only way forward.

Yes, first exoneration ever was back in 1989 in Chicago (a rape case, defendant had been in jail for 10 years). There had been 28 post-conviction exonerations by 1996. Europe a little behind, but some dodgy coppers and prosecutors must have felt how it crept closer and closer to their dark little secrets.....

P.S. Oooops, wrote 1998 - have corrected it to 1989.... which is the year of the first DNA exoneration.

I agree Grahame. They're not fit for purpose. If they didn't pay themselves such obscene wages, they might just be able to afford to sift through the 600 odd potential MOJ's that are awaiting a response.

What could be in those 200 boxes that we are not allowed to see?

That's the million dollar question,Alias. Why can't they be released ? What's in the documents that the police don't want anyone to see ? It only makes you more suspicious, naturally.
One thing for sure,if they contained evidence against Jeremy,,they'd have been on display long before now.

200 boxes take up a lot of space - couldn´t they just give them to Jeremy´s lawyers, clear up some space and save money!  ;)

Well we know there were some photos of EP behaving like hooligans in the grounds of WHF and lewd photos of the dead. I find it strange that EP were so careless with such incriminating evidence ...... against themselves.........
