the verdict was forgone conclusion but thats was lardgely own fault.

He killed two people, He claims in self defence

If he had an ordinary Job and on the straight and narrow with no criminal history fair enough he could argue that. But being who he was I would not give him any benefit of any doubt

That is why it is murder. You have the duty to retreat when you can and to not use force that is disproportionate to the threat you are facing.  Noye was the aggressor he started the altercation by threatening the couple.  The victim got out and was physically attacked by Noye.  Noye threw the first punch.  Noye then tried to find his knife thinking it was in his pocket but it wasn't, it was in his car.  He ran to his car, got it then ran back to stab the victim. He knew he had no viable claim of self-defense that is why he didn't wait for police he fled the scene and then fled the country. 

This is an open and shut case.
