I do know zero about psychology. But do know one said Jeremu showed the classic signs of being a psychopath. A psychiatrist hired by the defence.

Other people hired by the defence said Sheila was not capable of going on such a murderous rampage. Sorry I forgot, she had not seen a doctor for 18 weeks. Perhaps she did not need or want to.

Out of context soundbites. It is either said or written. Or it isn't.

I would very much like to know how anyone, albeit they're experts, can do more than guess, from a position of NEVER having examined someone and being fed only the information given then by the consultant who had seen her 18 weeks prior to death, what a person is capable of, a problem further exacerbated in that not only were her meds unbalanced, her emotional life was in a downward spiral and she was receiving no support because the psych nurses who should have been caring for her failed to appear.

Ruling went as expected, not a suprise really.

what i dont understand is why would jeremy chalenge a whole life tarif .if he was never going to accept guilt.for him to benifite from.the echr's decosicion.he would have to admit guilt to be paroled.

This is a good point.

Sheila had run out of her procyclidine which counteracts the effects of her medication haloperidol. Without this she would have been very shaky and uncoordinated (as described by various witnesses) and would not have had the control needed to get off 25 shots without missing one never mind trying to reload an awkward magazine in between time.

Re: Life means life ruling last year.

It did get Jeremy on TV and in the papers for a short period again.

Jeremys quote on the decision was something about how it was a hollow victory because he is already innocent.

It's my understanding that because the Haloperidol had been reduced, in one fell swoop, to CATASTROPHICALLY low, unsupervised and dangerous levels, she was doing as many schizophrenics do under similar circumstances, AND as evinced by her mother the previous day, she's forgotten to take the medication she took in  tablet form. She was certainly NOT in full control over those last days as witnessed by others. She attacked the visiting workman, screaming at his to get off HER(?) property. She ran screaming from the monastery but in between these episodes  seemed to retreat into lethargy, showing, according to her mother, no interest in anything, including her children. There has, thus far, been said NOTHING said about her being shaky and uncoordinated. Her nails were said to be perfectly manicured and whilst I can't vouch for that, it's no more than I would expect for someone who has attended modelling school.

Thanks Jon, I thought nothing had been logged with the CCRC yet and Simon McKay  corroborates that here. :)

Interesting but also very confusing.............

Why be involved in bringing the case forward in the first place. The case only served to confuse an issue which is now being welcomed back to the position it was in before. This is the same position it was in before it was recently appealed up to the EHCR upper chamber. The appeal to the upper chamber was a result of the original EHCR decision being opposed because it had agreed the principle of a whole life tariff.

It's a application to have his case reviewed by the CCRC again that he'll be logging, not a review of anything.

Susan.

No worries.

By the way the tenancy did not pass to 'the now next of kin' Ann Eaton. I think you will find the Trust actually appointed Peter Eaton (Ann Eaton's husband) to run the farm under an agreement.

If Jeremy is released he will not have the tenancy passed back to him. There would be no legal obligation for the Trust to do such a thing. At the end of the day it is the Trust's farm and they can appoint who they like under an agreement.

So the impression that the media gave that his motive was to inherit WHF and land - sell it and then live it up on the proceeds was not quite the truth then was it?

jansus that is what totally confused me I was aware that the house was owned by the Trust but not the land so had Jeremy had the tenancy passed to him he would have had to live in the house or let the Trust give the tenancy to somebody else he would be unable to sell it.
