funny how the rules work with regards to the met lying lie about something an mp and your arested and charged.

lie about shooting an unarmed man stone dead and nothing happens.

Well apparently it is a greater offence than that? I think it carries a maximum of life imprisonment?

I'm pretty sure that  Perverting the course of Justice can carry Life as well tbf
