Yes the Bible on chest seems to be a special emphasis. She must have been told that. But the "official" photos show the Bible beside Sheila on the floor.

Hi Grahame,

It's all down to timing...

When police go into the premises, the bodies of the five victims, are found distributed, as follows, by 7:38am, two bodies found in kitchen upon entry, one dead male, one dead female, 7;45am, police at whf are dealing with a murder and a suicide. By 8;10am, the other three bodies found upstairs - then something goes wrong with the police operation, until by about 8;44am when Miller and Craig visit the bedroom, reporting that there is the body of a dead female on the floor near the door of the bedroom, and then that there was another dead female on the far side of the bed...

The second group of training officers arrive and enter the scene at around 9am, to carry out familiars...

Along comes, DCI 'Taff' Jones, and DS 'Stan' Jones, who visit the bedroom scene, and DCI 'Jones refers in his pocketbook to seeing Sheila's body on the far side of the bed, whereas, DS 'Stan' Jones reports to Ann Eaton, Jeremy and Julie Mugford that Sheila had been found on the bed, with a bible resting on top of her chest (if we say that DS Jones saw Sheila's body on the bed by 9:15am), there is then a 45 minute period, before PC 'David' Bird, starts to take the so called official crime scene photographs, which shows Sheila's body on the bedroom floor...

If, the correct interpretation of the words, "Sheila's body was on the far side of the bed", actually means, her body was on the floor, how do you explain DS 'Stan' Jones account to Ann Eaton, and the others, when he told them that "Sheila's body had been found upon the bed, with a bible on her chest"...

Since, there is no way on gods green earth, that anyone could interpret what Jones told Ann Eaton and the others that morning, that "Sheila's body was on the bed, with a bible on her chest", could be a reference to "Sheila's body being on the floor"...

DS 'Stan' Jones, was in "a bit of a pickle" regarding where he had seen Sheila's body that morning (on the bed, with a bible on top of her chest), so it comes as no surprise to me, that he got Julie Mugford to try and get himself and the police out of the mire, by her introducing the story that Jeremy had later told her that "Mathew (the hit man) had got Sheila to lie down on the bed and to shoot herself". If this was the source from which the claim that Sheila's body had been found upon the bed, then how did Jones know on the morning of 7th August 1985, to inform Ann Eaton and the others, that "Sheila's body had been found on the bed, with a bible on top of her chest", since it was not until a month later that Mugford comes out with her story?

Of course, during my visit to see Ewen Smith at his offices in Birmingham, I saw the photograph of Sheila on the bed, took possession of it, and sent it to Jeremy in a letter marked (RULE 37A, etc) after speaking to him about it during a booked telephone call between Jeremy and myself on the same evening of my visit to Ewens office...

The letter in question, was intercepted by prison security and confiscated by the Governor, Mr Staples, because of the claim that there had been some sort of abuse with "misuse" of the RULE 37A privilege...

Jeremy had been notified that my letter and its contents had been intercepted and confiscated by prison security, and that he would not be permitted to see its contents...

This caused problems between Jeremy and Giovanni De Stefano who was representing Jeremy at that time - the prison imposed a temporary ban on Jeremy and Giovanni from corresponding using the RULE 37A privilege, and in order to resolve this matter, I wrote a letter to the governor, Mr Staples, at HMP Full Sutton, explaining my reasons for submitting the letter to Jeremy on that occasion, pointing out that it had not been sent with the intention of abusing the RULE 37A privilege at all, as I was registered as Jeremy's McKensie man, and had previously corresponded with Jeremy by those same means, and no-one had informed me that I could no longer rely upon the same privilege...

Additionally, Jeremy asked me to send another letter by normal post into him, mentioning what I had been saying in the confiscated letter, which I duly did...

It should also be noted that on the evening of my visit to Ewens office, I had spoken to Jeremy on a prearranged phone call which Jeremy had booked. During that telephone call I told Jeremy that there existed a photograph of Sheila on the bed. These booked telephone calls were always recorded by prison security, and so the Home office not only had the photograph of Sheila on the bed which the Governor (Mr Staples) placed on Jeremy's prison file, but they also had an audio recording of what I told Jeremy about the existence of the photograph of Sheila on the bed. In addition, I had written again to Jeremy saying that there existed this photograph of Sheila on the bed - Jeremy had this letter, and others written by me to him making mention of the said photograph...

It should also be mentioned that all the files in the possession of Ewen Smith had to be transferred to Giovanni's office in London, and that Ewen had been in contact with Giovanni to mention that I might be used to help get all the case files and photographic albums between Birmingham and London. But for me saying that I could not do it, I would have had temporary access to all the case files and photographs, which Jeremy was keen for me to do, since his main priority at this time was to get his hands on the photograph of Sheila on the bed, which he thought would be damning proof to prove that police must have stage managed Sheila's body on the bedroom floor, for which he had been blamed for doing...

At this time, Jeremy was not aware that I had enclosed the photograph of Sheila on the bed in my RULE 37A correspondence, which the Governor at HMP Full Sutton had duly confiscated. One of the reasons I had refused to get involved in the transfer of information and material from Ewens office in Birmingham, to Giovanni's offices in London, was because I knew that the photograph of Sheila on the bed was not there, because I had removed it, and sent it in to Jeremy under the RULE 37A privilege, thinking it would not be intercepted or vetted by prison staff. In any event, I have letters written to me by Jeremy, and he has letters written by me to him, at around this time, all we talk about is the existence of this photograph of Sheila on the  where bed, and arrangements we would need to make for me to get my hands upon it...

An historical account of this correspondence between Jeremy and myself around this time, involving this matter, exists. There also exists Internet records where I am in contact with another close friend of Jeremy's (Lee), where I make mention of the existence of this photograph of Sheila's body on the bed, and arrangements being made for she and I to visit Giovanni's offices in London, with a view to obtaining any photographs of Sheila on the bed. Lee and Giovanni had met privately on a number of occasions, and I think on one of these occasions Giovanni had taken Lee out for a meal. In any event, I arranged to meet up with Lee in London, I think we met up at Charring Cross train station as a result of me traveling down to London from Barnsley, via Sheffield. After a coffee we went to Giovanni's office and were met by his son, Michael (who was at University taking a law degree)...

I believe that Giovanni was in the middle east representing the interests of Saddam Hussain at this time, or he may have been in Rome at his family residence there, but he was in contact with us through his son, Michael, over the phone whilst we were in his office in London, on that occasion...

Soon after our arrival in London (Lee had travelled there from her home in Colchester), and once we got to Giovanni's office, Michael duly proceeded to produce a large number of photographs which Lee and myself began to examine, with a view to finding any photographs of Sheila's body on the bed. As we were going through these photographic albums, we selected a number of crime scene photographs which we asked Michael to photocopy for us to take away for research purposes? He proceeded to do this, but there came a time when the ink in the photocopying machine ran out, and so Lee and myself resorted to taking pictures of the photographs using cameras and mobile phones...

I later contacted Lee by use of telephone and internet, requesting that she send me the images she had taken using camera or phone during our visit to Giovanni's office in London, and she sent me several images via attachments in email, images which I could not photograph myself, because the batteries in my equipment had ran flat...

Some of the images sent to me by Lee, on these occasions, have been posted on this site, and elsewhere...
