I did wonder if they were bluffing Caroline.  I remember those phones, hard to believe it was such a novelty to be able to check the last number dialled. ;D
It is possible it was used for a call to Jeremy but then Nevill(apologies) must have gone downstairs to ring the police if Jeremy's number was stored on the office phone imo.  Not impossible.

Neil??????

I am so confused.  Lets refresh....The white/Cream phone was a dial only phone which was put in the kitchen because of the storm.  This was off the hook when the raid team entered the house.  When BT rang WHF they got the engaged tone.  Then they listened in?  and all they could hear was the dog barking,.

The Blue phone is the one that was in the upstairs office and I was lead to believe that a member of the raid team had used this phone to phone headquarters.

Not sure if it was CC or Colin's father that had rang WHF and no one answered but the phone did ring...so at some point during the day prior to fingerprinting the phone had been placed back on its cradle.....

There was a phone that was being repaired which was the kitchen phone....Is this right?

There was also a digital phone found underneath some magazines....so where did this phone fit in?????

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Patti I was under the impression the phone that was being repaired was from the office.  The phone in the kitchen was brought downstairs as June preferred this phone to the one which was upstairs which was placed down and mags thrown on top.  Not sure if this is correct as the phones are very confusing. :'( Patti you know what happens to me when I get confused three pm's in a row  ;D ;D ;D ;D unknown to me.

I think the kitchen phone was a hands free and the one under the mags was the one Jeremy referred to as 'the spare'. The rest is pretty much the way I understand things.

Was it the hands free one that went to be repaired???  ;D ;D ;D ;D

This is the phone that was in  the office, it was replaced after the lightening strike. It has a last number redial facility and 10 number memory. Interestingly (can't believe I just said that about a phone!!) it had a call timer!!

So according to Robert Cox, there was no special equipment in use on the line.  If this is true the only way the police could know about the call to Jeremy would be if the office phone with the redial facility was used, then Nevill called the police from a different phone.  All very confusing imo.

Not sure if this is the same phone as the Sceptre 100
Doesn't look the same does it?  Maybe the one on the bed was the spare that was lost under the magazines??
