he dident clam up he spoke when he dident have to speak.

he dident have to say anything at all.
In actual fact he gave the police a great deal of information. He told them about Sheila. He told them about what guns there were in the house. He drew a layout of the place for them. Remind me not to be too helpful to police next time. It might be interpreted to mean that I am guilty. It appears to me that because of the great amount of information he told the police the guilters say this is indicative of him being guilty. Then when he apparently doesn't say much the guilters say that, that is indicative of his guilt. Two faced sillies.

Well he seemed to say a lot early in the investigation. Meeting the police on a regular basis.

After the focus was turned on him there were over 40 'no comments' & 'don't knows' in the interview transcripts.
'Only I know what really happened that night'.

Hi Adam :)

Was that because he was asked the same question 40 times?  I have read the statements and I must say that Jones was goading and trying his best to trip Bamber up and put words into his mouth...He confused me...... ;D ;D ;D ;D

As lookout said, damned if he did. Damned if he didn't. Simples. No matter what we try and explain to you, you contradict it. What's the point of trying? ::)

Hi Nugs :)

You would think so and because Jeremy was not there then all he could say was I don't know....even the times of the calls...I doubt anyone would know who phoned at what time, even on the following day let alone 6 weeks later....Its impossible for any barrister to argue an exact time in my opinion.... ;D ;D ;D ;D

Grahame, that makes great sense. If he'd answered all the question the first time they were asked, he may, after his arrest have answered them once more, after which I imagine he'd  have thought they were trying to trip him up and possibly doubted his own ability to say the same things again so said little/nothing.

Hello Patti  my words exactly the only people who knew the times of the calls were the people who received and logged them I would suspect  If anyone asked me what time my electric came back on last night I could not tell them exactly maybe 7.50 or 7.45 and yet it was a moment to remember ;D

What's wrong with that?  Would you remember what you said to someone on a specified day months before? I doubt it especially when between that time and your memory of it something really dreadful happened which upset your mind forever.  If you can't take this sort of thing into consideration when looking at the case you are not being fair to Jeremy Bamber  and do not have an open mind. imo
