Wilkes's book is not a Holy Grail!!

No. But to me it is beleivable, either when the information points to Sheila or Jeremy.

The defence were certainly not over confident. Wilkes book said they believed at an early stage it was going to be an extremly difficult case to win.

Adam,,the defence in the past were abysmal,,and obviously didn't put up any sort of a fight, and my personal guess would be because they were scared and hovering on the guilty side,,so they either hadn't done their homework,,or they weren't assertive enough to overcome the prosecution.

The wording of the interviews seem fine. Questions relating to Jeremy, Mugford, the gun, Neville & the night in question. Jeremy had a lawyer with him. All the police could do is raise their voice, which I am sure Jeremy could handle.

Jeremy has never claimed the interview transcript is wrong or that he was bullied at all.
Adam perhaps you should sit in on a few police interviews? They can be very intimidating and annoying sometimes. (1) The police did not reveal the "tone" of their questioning of Jeremy. (2) They were careful to record Jeremy's answers in a way that made him seem to be the annoying one. Believe me the cops can be right bastards in the way they question those under arrest. How would you react if all your family had just been murdered by your step sister and the cops arrested you and questioned you in an unsympathetic and relentless and accusing way? This about it for a moment if it were you and not Jeremy. I know that I would be swearing at them and be calling them ignorant thick bastards. Jeremy did not.

and how could they find them exactly if the police dident tell them of her existence.

It is called investigating. Wilkes managed to find these people.

By law, the prosecution has to submit certain information to the defence prior to trial. Did Jeremy also not know some of Sheilas friends ?

The defence had the best witness of all - Jeremy.

Those who continually quote wilkes just show themselves unable to think for themselves and lacking in personal imagination.

How true,Grahame,,you're made to feel like the criminal even when innocent. Even I know that after reporting an incident,,which I was sorry I'd bothered about. It's happened twice to me now,,which makes me feel like ignoring anything that goes on.
The real criminals are left alone, while innocents suffer a barrage of questions.

If he was not biased then how come those who worship Wilkes all think Jeremy to be guilty? Rather they all give the impression of being sheep and follow him blindly and faithfully and without criticism.

I am quite capable of thinking for myself. Have read a book, watched the Youtube videos & read lots of internet articles.

Why then do you agree with Wilkes on EVERYTHING he says. You have a mind of your own. I advise you to be more critical of these people. Not to dumbly hang on their every word as if they are the Bible.

if the defense dident know they existed there hardly likely to go looking for them.

your assumeing the police disclosed everything to the prosecutor.

I do not worship him. I wanted the best & most unbiased book on the case. As mentioned this got the best reviews. It just reports the facts on the case & the individuals concerned. Done in an investigative jounalist manner. At no point does he give his opinon.

Bambers defence team canvassed several psychiatrists for an opinion on Sheila. Did they think she could erupt into such murderous violence ? The answer was 'No'.

Perhaps Bamber took the stand out of desperation ? Maybe his good looks & charm could persuade the lady jurors resulting in a 'Not Guilty' verdict ? It seemed to nearly work. Two female jurors wept as the verdict was read out.

Just how many times is it that psychiatrists/psychologists have assessed violent prisoners as "cured" and "harmless", they are then released and subsequently commit heimous, violent acts because those professionals were WRONG?
Same can be said of the yearly assessments of Jeremy - just saying it before you do!

Why not read Lomax's book, who has also visited Jeremy in prison  ?
Or google Eric Allison of the Guardian,,who was IN prison and met Jeremy. Eric is a prison correspondent for the above mentioned newspaper.
