Sheila hadn't actually been seen by a psychiatrist for more than 18 weeks prior to her death, during which time crucial emotional and psychological changes had taken place. No psychiatrist could have said more than was based on her last interview when she was upbeat and hopeful. During the following weeks, on the wrong dose of meds, she would suffer double rejection, hers hopes for the future would be dashed, her future would have looked very uncertain, she had no therapist to help her work through it. I can fully imagine that a murderous rage at the perceived injustice built up in this otherwise docile girl. Combine that with the feeling that she had nothing left to live for and the scene is set.

If the truth be known,nugs,,nobody,not even the professionals knew,or realised how sick Sheila was. Sheila would have been quite " cute " at hiding the whole reality of how she was feeling,,and would,at times have been in denial of it.
Even today,30 odd years later,,they've only just highlighted the fact that PND is indeed an illness,which,if not treated,can lead to more serious things such as Sheila suffered,,and anyone who tells me that there's no harm in woman with such an illness is sorely disillusioned.
Even PMT sufferers can kill !

So now you think that jurers can be persuaded by charm? Hmm interesting that you don't think that women can make a logical decision?

I was led to understand that Jeremy did not show any of his charm at the Trial if Jurors wept it would be because they were of the opinion the wrong verdict had been reached and a young man was going to serve life for a crime he did not commit.

Lovely to see you back Susan. I agree...Jeremy's confidence and arrogance during police questioning and later in court was very probably down to the fact that he KNEW he was innocent. But the guilters never consider this.

Did not see what was coming ? He is in court on a murder charge. A very serious situation. A clever man like Jeremy knows that the police charged him &  there was enough evidence for the DPP to put a case through to trial, there is s possibility of a guilty verdict.

Adam,this forum wouldn't exist if Jeremy WAS guilty.
Even Mick Gradwell ( the chief,himself ) said it was a very poor investigation. Says it all really,,so the least they can do for Jeremy now is to give him a re-trial.

If I knew I was innocent I would be talking England, trying hard not to rsise my voice & generally being very stressed. I would assist the police as much as possible.

Essex Police said Jeremy was very laid back. Chewing a thread from his jumper & saying his one word answers in a sing along tone, yeeees etc. The questions are basic questions about Jeremy & the night. Jeremy was very un coperative, vague & flippant.
