It  has been said, at various times, that there was a large amount of blood found inside the silencer - although true, distinctions have to be made...

Blood was found to be present inside the sound moderator as far down as the sixth baffle plate...

None of the stained blood could could found on or between these 6 baffle plates be positively attributed as originating uniquely from Sheila Caffell. This is very interesting because in order for there to have been so much blood as described present upon the first 6 baffles of the silencer, there had to be a considerable amount of blood, since each baffle plate is about 1 inch in diameter, having two sides to each baffle...

This produces 12 areas measuring about 1 inch in diameter each (up to a foot in estimated coverage), yet not upon one of these 6 baffle plates was found a full complement of Sheila Caffells blood groups (A,, EAP BA, AK1 and HP 2-1), with the exception of a small loose dried flek of blood, discovered by the ballistic expert, Fletcher, trapped in between baffles 1 and 2...
