To go further, if it was usual and acceptable for JB to go in to the gun cupboard, take out and load the Anshutz rifle, before heading out to hunt rabbits, then I have a hard time believing that he would be unaware of the loaded/unloaded status of other weapons. If for his own safety as much as anything else. He also displays a certain amount of caution by removing the magazine and bullet from the breach of the Anshutz.

So for what reason did he tell the police that there was an arsenal of loaded weapons in the house, accessible and ready for use by his sister?  ???
Very good point no bits sorry i cannot give you a smite to agree i have to wait 1 hour?. Coupled with the fact that he had built up a story beforehand about sheila?

So why did he say in his September statement that the reason he sent for more men was because of the size of the farm house? Why didn't he say " due to what Jeremy had told me about the guns being loaded I decided to ask for more men" ?   :) :) :) :)

I suspect that a large house is not particularly problematic, however a large house potentially containing a berserking Sheila along with numerous accessible loaded firearms would be particularly risky for those entering.

Well I have just read PC Adam's statement in the raid team and find that its contradictory for he does say the reason he sends for more men is due to the size of the farm house and not because Jeremy had told him guns were loaded.   :-\ :-\ :-\
Well he does make one vital point he says he is concerned for the safety of his officers and he wants to know the gun situation dont you think patti?

Why has Jeremy told the police that HE left a loaded rifle out?

When later, he tells them that he didn't leave a loaded rifle out at all.

Why did Jeremy tell the police that there were a number of loaded firearms in the house?

Yet after the police had taken control of the house, they found that there wasn't a single loaded firearm in the house.  ???

Maybe the word could be loaded was left out of Adam's statement?  So then, why did Adam's not say "Due to having a conversation with Jeremy who told me that there were loaded guns in the farm, I sent for more men"

Instead he says" Due to the size of the farm house he sent for men"

Something isn't right here is it??????  ;)

Yeah it's all a little concocted and contradictory,  I can't believe that anybody looking at this subjectively would not be a little concerned by these details (even if only secretively).  :-\

JB saying that he left a loaded rifle out is pretty clear to me.  :-\

He had to keep his officers safe and after he decided to call for more men due to the size of the farm house....I grant you that is what Adam's puts in his statement on the 7th August....but this is not what he said in September's statement.....Maybe he had forgotten... :) :) :) :)

Anyone of the innocent supporters could have said those very words to you - and probably have, many times.

To add credence to his assertion that the house contained numerous loaded firearms.  I suspect.

I don't see the significance in any of this given that he couldn't have known A. that the house wouldn't be stormed immediately and B. that armed response would be called which added to the waiting. It's something he couldn't have planned for and had no control over.
