No they don't Maggie.  Maybe the un was omitted from the statement that was never signed eh? Its a guessing game really and that relevant even if Jeremy did say that, it does not mean he pulled a trigger that night....  ;D ;D ;D ;D
If innocent it was a pretty awful situation for him to be in Patti so not surprising if he was a bit flakey  imo.
I still cannot believe a guilty man would allow himself to end up in that position.  If he had planned this for a year it was a pretty poor plan imo.  :-\

What other possible reasons are there for Jeremy wanting the police to believe that the house contained several loaded and accessible firearms, when that was clearly untrue?  ???

Clearly? As it turned out the guns weren't loaded but there were several laying around and perhaps they weren't always kept as the law required.

I agree. I think it was Michael Deckers that said there was always a gun in the first room you went in. I assume he meant the back kitchen where JB says he left the rifle that night. Jeremy has also said that there tended to be a rifle left there ready to shoot vermin. And didn't AP say that he often left his magazine loaded? Must admit,my memory not so sure on that one so please don't quote me on that.

I think you are correct, tyler.  I have been wracking my brains trying to remember who I read about who said about the loaded gun in the back kitchen.  I also seem to remember something else I have read about guns around the house which didn't emanate from Jeremy but can't remember. :-\

I know there was one on the back stairs Patti as well as others collected by the police but I was trying to remember someone who stated there were always guns around in the farmhouse when they visited and I can't remember where I saw it. :'(

We don't know that Jeremy did say that, neither of us were there. Just because it was put in Adam's statement does not mean that it was actually said. If it was said I feel sure that Adam's would have informed his men and he didn't....that is a fact.

It is a valid point that Ralf has made and its brilliant to debate it, but we don't always come up with the same interpretation.  If you look back on what Bew's, Mayall and what Jones said it is different and this is a point that really needs to be looked at....because none of them say Jeremy told them the weapons inside the house were loaded do they? Only Adam's is saying this.  ;D ;D ;D ;D
Patti if you have a look at delgado statement he repeats they had a briefing about the layout and the state of the weapons on the premises would state of the weapons mean they were loaded do you not think? so sorry to be a pain but i love chatting with you lol.

Pick up any two statements in respect to the same thing Patti and there are always discrepancies, be they written by the same person or two people standing together!! I'd have thought that Adams would have made it clear to his team that they might be dealing with someone who had access to multiple loaded weapons. As we have both argued, there is no way he could have controlled what the police did once they became involved - he had no idea that the house wouldn't be stormed as soon as police arrived or that a firearms division would be called.
Caroline dont you not think anyone with a bit of common sense making a call to the police about his sister going crazy with a gun would not expect firearms team to attend? I dont mean any offence to you but i think this is sometimes overlooked.

Any idea why JB tried to mislead the police into thinking there were multiple loaded weapons in the house?   ???
